Bad Bear's father Buck Sampson said, "The Walk and Run is within the 1863 Treaty of Ruby Valley Land Boundary. It began on May 1, 2016, and ends on May 8, Mother's Day on Sunday.

"They are in Tonopah now and continue on Highway 95 to Yucca Mountain, ending at Mercury Peace Camp. They will be camping along the road."
